Just came over the news new law for Scotland?
anyone caught kerb crawling will be find £1000 pounds. I am not sure if it includes crawling babies, as sometimes they manage to get out their buggy and crawl along the kerb.

- yeah???
- and about time to does this include those of us crawling on hand and knees from the pub?
- Is it less if one just lay there?
- Perhaps it will stop it, though i very much doubt it.
- Hey lol I wouldn't let my 10 month old crawl on the kerb, its dirty . . . Good law though. Kerb crawling is nasty. Scotland gets all the good laws.
- LMAO! Are you serious?
- I only ever kerb crawl when I am too drunk to get home on my own two feet, so I guess I need to stay out of scotland!!!!!! otherwise thats an expensive night out and after a £1000 fine I wouldnt have any money for the chippy hehehe
- Over the years, there have been numerous attempts at reducing the effects of prostitution on certain communities and still it has thrived. I doubt whether this will work either, although a few £1000s will help the drinks bill of the local Councillors. Street prostitutes mainly work in the lower class areas of town at night, so not a lot of people suffer. These prostitutes are mainly drug addicts and this is there only means of obtaining enough money to feed their habit. It will definitely not stop prostitution or even cut it down, the girls will simply find another way of conducting their business.
- And it's true, folks! My husband was standing, staring at the opposite kerb and he DID find something! It glinted gold, but before he could move towards it, a woman crossed the road and he was sure she would see it and pick it up. But she didn't see it, so he crossed over, bent down and there by the kerb was a gold bracelet! No inscriptions - he took it to the police who kept it for the required time - nobody claimed it. He got it and as it was our 25th wedding anniversay, part exchanged it (for 50 pounds sterling) at a jewellers for a lovely ring for me. Which begs the question, if he finds something else by the kerb, will he legally be entitled to 1,000 pounds? Or, if he is lingering too long looking, will he be FINED 1,000 pounds?
